Hi Jamie,
We are all looking forward to your safe return home. Keep up the good work over there and keeping us safe here.
Just spent about 3 weeks at the Lake. It was great, as usual. Kele has a football coaching job this year. And is he ever excited. His dream come true. Kasey is going to the Univ. of Cinn. and run track. He had a fantastic season this year. 6th in the state in the hurdles.
Talked to Nan the other day. We are all too busy doing other stuff to get together and play cards. Can you believe that?I really miss that... Not much else is new, same old. Do you need more neck coolers? They were fun to make. Just as Melissa.
Until later. Take care, God Bless. Love you Jamie, Barb & Jack & all

Jamie, Today is a very dignified day for myself and our family and friends. Its the 4th of July. We stand taller and stronger on this day knowing that we have one very special Marine keeping this country free. Not only do I have a son, but there are many families standing tall and proud as we are today. Every Firework I see every Flag that waves and everytime I hear the National Anthem its deep into my soul. Men and Women like yourself unselfish true true Americans I thank You from the bottom of my heart. Its been a long time since I've hugged you seen your beautiful eyes or patted you on the back with love taps. We miss you Jamie and can't wait for your return. Can't wait for the day we sit around the picnic table drinking kool-Aid! I don't know you turned 21 after you were deployed maybe we can drink 21 Kool-Aid now! Anyway today is a day that I swell with pride for you Son. Its hit home. I feel the prayers, they are powerful meaningful prayers for you Son. We all read Psalms 21/1 it says alot thank you for sharing that with me. The shield of god is so important it brings a bit of calmness to the overall picture. As always try to change your socks, fuel, hydrate, and keep alert with good thoughts and spirits. We are here and can not wait for your return. I Love You, Happy 4th my Son XOXO MOM. Zak. Brooke. Wes and Daisy too!

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN,

It is the veteran,
who serves under the Flag,
I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me. Funny, our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work because of the expected storm.
On the ABC evening news, it was reported tonight that, because of the dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment.
They respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!"
Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.
The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.
I don't usually suggest that many emails be forwarded, but I'd be DAMN proud if this one reached as many as possible.
We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.
God Bless them.

Hey Baby! Just a few lines to tell you how much you are missed by the family. I truley don't think there has been one hour gone by that someone isn't asking how you are and how proud and thankful they are to you and all the men over there. We sure have a strong core of family and friends. The barbershop has two of the biggest yellow ribbons representing my boy. Doug ordered those for you. From one Marine to another. EVERYONE is concerned and can't wait for your return. Oh YEA there will be a party when YOU are ready and the house will be full I'm sure of it! I know the missions have been tough and you haven't gotten alot of quality sleep not to mention a good shower everyday but try to fuel up, change your socks, and keep your spirits good. I pray for your return and am so proud of the man that you have become. Keep up the good work, even the media has good things to say. Just about the way you are handling yourselves. You guys are true respected Warriors. Semper Fi my Son XOXO Mom, Zak, Brooke, Wes and Daisy too!

HI JAMIE,
HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU. WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT YOU, AFTER THE BIG CONFLICT YOU WENT THROUGH. THANK GOD YOU ARE OKAY, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU EVERY DAY.I JUST GOT THIS WEB SITE , WILL SEND MORE MAIL. JUST TO SAY WE LOVE YOU AND PRAY FOR YOUR SAFTEY, LOVE YOU, NANNY YAWN

Hi Jamie,
We finally found your website...YEAH!! It is Sissy and Aunt Helen here in Ft. Myers and we are so glad to have a way to send you messages. We have all had you in our prayers daily and are thrilled to know that you are safe after the big mission went down. We are also sad that not everyone returned from the mission and our hearts and prayers go to their family and friends. We know you also know each and everyone of your fellow fallen marines and hope that you somehow find peace in their dedication, commitment and utlimate sacrifice.
Well what can we say but that Aunt Helen continues to fatten up everybody who visits her. Maybe we could lend her to the Iraqi's so she could feed them so much food that they would lay down and sleep all day....it sure works for us. Anyhow, your pictures are so handsome and your girlfriend is such a cutie. I think my liittle Nicholas may be as big as you, he is on his way that's for sure. He turns 7 in a couple weeks and is almost 100 lbs.
Nana Shirley has been wanting to email you and she is quite savy on the computer for an old bird. Here are our emails for your future reference and we will stay in touch.
Nanny - surfnanny@msn.com

Hello Jamie,
Blessings to you my nephew!!!! Just wanted to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
What a handsome Marine you are. We are so very proud of you Jamie. You are always in our conversations and just this past weekend Aunt Helen was proudly showing off your pictures.
It was heart lurching that is for sure. She called me on Friday to assure me you were safe. It saddened us to hear of the 1st Company & it always seems every day they tell us about something so I immediately call her to find out if she's heard from your Mom or knows whats going on & if you are safe.
Your mom told me about your love of boiled peanuts. I have located them but need to find out how many cans we can send you at a time.
If there was anyway I could get you some of Aunt Helen's home cooked meals we sure would. Boy would your fellow Company enjoy it as well.
Jamie if there is anything special you would like please do not hesitate to let us know. We have started a care package but need to know if there are any restrictions with size or weight or if there is a best way to ship.
Would it be better to have several small packages or does it matter?
Also where do we ship it too?
You take care of yourself and know our prayers are with you.
Love,
Sabrina aka "Bina"

Hey devil!
Just thought I'd drop you a line and let you know we are thinking of you back here. It's coming up on the hot season over there, and trust me, there's no secret to making it easier. If you guys are still using camel backs, I suggest soaking the outside of it before a patrol. We used to do that and it helps keep the water in your camel back cool. Sort of. I'll be sure to write again if I can remember any other Iraq summer survival tricks. See you soon, keep your head low and micro-terrain is a blessing.
